Wardress wurden ursprünglich bereits 1983 in Nürtingen gegründet und haben sich seitdem dem 80er NWOBHM verschrieben, es aber in ihren Anfangsjahren versäumt ihren Status mit einem entsprechenden Albumrelease zu zementieren. Es bedurfte einer quasi-Neugründung im Jahr 2018 als Gitarrist Gor und Sänger Erich beschlossen, wiedergefundenes Original-Songmaterial aus den Anfangszeiten der Band endlich auf Tonträger zu bannen. So erschein 2019 dann endlich ihr Debut „Dress For War“ (2019) auf welchem alten Songs auch aktuelles Material verewigt wurden.
Die Zeit der Pandemiemaßnahmen nutze die Band für die Arbeiten an ihrem hier vorliegenden zweiten Album „Metal Til The End“, auf welchem die Band ihren Wurzeln stilistisch treu bleibt und den Albumtitel gleichzeitig zum Programm macht! Sägende Riffs mit überraschenden Breaks und hymnische Melodien im Wechsel mit explodierenden Soli, ergänzt durch bissig-ironische Texte. Produktion und Mix, für welche sich Rolf Munkes im Empire Studio in Bensheim verantwortlich zeigt, sorgt für eine dynamische live-artige Atmosphäre.

The self-proclaimed Masters Of Black Romantic were founded in 1979 in the Bavarian village of Gerstetten. In 1984, they recorded their debut album "Walpurgis Night" for Gama Records. In the course of their career, the band had to compensate for many line-up changes, but they always managed to create something special with every album. In addition, the band always impressed on stage, both at their many single-weekend shows and on the numerous tours of their career. Like their label mates S.D.I., Stormwitch were also very popular behind the Iron Curtain, although their albums were usually hard to get in Eastern Europe. Stormwitch's best-known fans are the Swedish heavy metal monsters Hammerfall, who also covered the track "Ravenlord" from the album "Stronger Than Heaven".
Stormwitch are still active today and have released 13 albums so far. The reissued "Stronger Than Heaven" and "The Beauty And The Beast" are from 1986/87 and are still classics of the band. Also included are the live bonus tracks from the Battle Cry Records re-release editions.

An 80s Classsic - Remastered!
"Sign Of The Wicked" counts for every metalhead of the late 80s to the absolute cult album of the German speed metal wave that was feverishly approaching its peak at that time. With the title track "Sign Of The Wicked" and the unforgotten "Megamosh", the band created two metal anthems at that time, which in the following years could not be missed on any metal disco, and which even 30 years later still belong to the absolute evergreens of their genre.
Anno 2020 the band goes to re-release their classic and to transform it into the new millennium. So this release is not a simple re-release, because all songs have been remastered by Role in the "Tonmeisterei" Studio (Feine Sahne, Hammerhead, Ahab, among others) and provided with a contemporary sound. In addition, this release includes a new booklet with partly unreleased photos from 1987 and four bonus tracks, which were recorded between 1991 and 1993 and were planned for an album that was never released.

The Return of 80s Metal!
31 years after their last regular longplayer "Mistreated" the German Speed Metal veterans of SDI are back with a new album! Already since 2013 the resumed activities of the band have been condensed with several concerts and festival appearances and so the band was on stage again at the "Keep It True", the "True Trash Fest" in Japan, as well as the Czech "Obscene Extreme" and several shows and tours across Europe since 2017.
In the year 2019 the trio finally made it back to various studios, where they recorded 12 new tracks, which reflect the band's range from speed metal grenades to metal anthems in best old-school manner. To get rid of the expectation to have reinvented the wheel somehow, the title of the album makes it clear what's going on - and so this album is all about the 80s, respectively the style the band already made her mark in in the 80s!
"80s Metal Band" is therefore not only a description with which SDI also feel represented in 2020, but also the motto and title of the new longplayer, which takes the listener 30 years back in time. The mix of Føni Goedereis and the mastering of Peter "Pluto" Neuber (Primordial, Blood Red Throne, Manos) make sure that the sound of SDI fits into the new millennium!

Stagewar, founded in 2003 in the Frankfurt area, live up to their name and have developed into a tireless live band over the last few years, playing a good 200 shows to date, with more to follow after the release of their third longplayer "Danger To Ourselves". The band themselves describe their style as "straight thrash metal with a good portion of rock'n'roll", which basically hits the nail on the head!
The present 8 tracks captivate with catchy and multilayered arrangements.
