Epic Melodic Thrash/Death Metal Highlight! Seit über 30 Jahren sind FINAL CRY ein konstanter Bestandteil der deutschen Metal Szene und legen mit dem Bergsteiger Epos “The Ever-Rest” ihren nunmehr sechsten Longplayer vor. Darauf gelingt es der Band einmal mehr sich neu zu erfinden, ohne dabei ihre Wurzeln aus den Augen zu verlieren.  Ihr nach wie vor im Thrash Metal verwurzelter Sound besticht durch gnadenloses Riffing, treibende Drums und viel Gespür für Melodien und Atmosphäre und schlägt dabei eine Brücke zwischen dem klassischen Thrash der 80er und den düsteren skandinavischen Stilen der 90er. Der neue Mann am Mikro  gibt dem Sound der Band nicht nur eine neue Note, sondern seine garstigen Screams und Growls passen auch zum tödlich-frostigen Szenario des Albums wie die Faust aufs Auge. Das Gesamtkonzept wird durch ein 20seitigen Storybooklet abgerundet, welches die realen Geschichten erzählt, die jedem einzelnen Song zu Grunde liegen. Für einige Backing Vocals und Chöre, welche die epische Tiefe des Albumthemas unterstützen, konnte man zudem Herbie Langhans (AVANTASIA) und Børd Wäsche (EYE SEE BLACK) gewinnen. “The Ever-Rest” wurde im Soundlodge Studio unter den Fittichen von Jörg Uken aufgenommen und ist zweifellos ein Highlight im Schaffen des Quintetts und dürfte sowohl alte als auch neue Fans der Niedersachsen begeistern. Für ihre langjährigen Anhänger hat die Band als Bonus mit “Words Unspoken” zudem einen ihrer Alltime Klassiker  aus dem Jahre 1994 nochmal neu aufgenommen und ins neue Jahrtausend portiert.

A revelation between rawness and atmosphere ! With "Blessed By The Light Of A Thousand Stars", the German black metallers Servant present an impressive and incredibly mature debut album, which stylistically undoubtedly stands on the shoulders of the great Scandinavian black metal bands. On closer inspection, this is hardly surprising, as the band is basically based on the remains, btw with main songwriter Farago a protagonist of Ancient Wargod, who were already active in the 90s. For whose reunion, never came to pass, the first rough song ideas were intended. In the course of the last 5 years, these ideas matured, also thanks to new comrades-in-arms, into the present album, which has a sound outfit in which the compositions unfold their full effect. The band uses the full range of stylistic means available in the genre and does also not renounce bombastic passages with choirs, keyboards and orchestral support, as well as parts that are deliberately kept raw and "monotonous". Contentwise the 9 tracks are not only inspired by modern Satanism, but also by the human emotional world and the longings associated with it. The longing for death, the desire for transience, elevation of the self, as well as the search for the meaning of life with the help of various religious and occult teachings are just a few examples to describe the approach of the lyrical part. The opulent work was recorded and produced by mastermind Farago himself, while the sound was given the finishing touches by Guano Apes drummer Dennis Poschatta during mastering at the Katzbach Studio in Göttingen. Uncompromising! With their sixth studio album, which aptly bears the name "The Sixth", the South Germans prove once more that they are not ready to be pushed into a drawer. Between modern Post, - and the Pagan Black Metal of their early days, Thormesis have managed to create their own place for their music with their sophisticated songwriting, without having to make any compromises in soundtechnical or contentwise. The band consistently relies on the trademarks of their last albums and combines great, touching melodies with a frosty sound, for which the band, like on the previous album "Trümmerfarben", shows itself responsible which underlines the uncompromising nature of their musical work. With "The Sixth" Thormesis have created an album which undoubtedly represents the highlight of the quartet's musical work and captivates and fascinates the listener from the first to the last tone.
