A lesson in extreme!  Seit ihrer Debut EP 2018 haben es Soul Grinder in schierer Windeseile geschafft ein Aushängeschild in Sachen exteme Metal aus deutschen Landen zu werden. Die Bremer Deather sind mittlerweile kein Geheimtipp mehr, dafür ist die Schneise der Verwüstung die sie mit ihren bisher 3 Veröffentlichungen und ihren Liveshows hinterlassen zu offensichtlich. Anno 2022 liegt nun, nach der letztjährigen 5-Track EP „Lifeless Obsession“ mit „Anthems From The Abyss“ der zweite Longplayer des Trios vor, auf welchem sie ihren Weg konsequent fortsetzen und dabei ein ums andere mal Maßstäbe in Sachen Brutalität setzen. Feinster Death Metal, von Blast Speed Attacken, über groovige Dampfwalzen bis hin zu mystischen Hymnen. Auch auf ihrem neuen Output bietet die Band eine enorme Bandbreite ohne dabei vom Kern des brutalen Death Metals abzukommen.  Für die Produktion zeigt sich die Band erneut in Form von Maté "Balrogh" Balogh - Balrogh Recordings und Jan Resmer - Silenced Soul Records selbst verantwortlich und sorgt damit erneut für eine alles niederwalzende Soundwand, die ihrem Stil mehr als gerecht wird. Uncompromising Death Metal Steamhammer! With "Death As A Process", Corrosive present their fifth longplayer. While other bands are slowly shifting down a gear after more than 25 years in the business, Corrosive are obviously stepping it up a notch with every album. They also don't shy away from taking from time to time the off-road route and crossing unknown terrain. Of course, their sound in 2022 is still a solid old school tub, who helps herself to the american and scandinavian pots with a large ladle. But instead of treading water, the band is also opening up to darker and more extreme styles, which makes the new album more varied without upsetting old fans. Corrosive simply know where the bodies are buried and are not afraid to dig them out. Recorded in the Beckerstudios in Marburg and mixed and mastered by Andrè Skopko, "Death As A Process" offers a full 45 minutes of everything fans of the genre will appreciate. Blast Beats Massacre! The Dresden death metallers from Saprobiontic, founded in December 2012, present their second longplayer with "Apocalyptic Retribution" after an EP (2015) and the debut "Science Of War". The trio, which is now recruited from ex-Purgatory and ex-Profanation members, has dedicated itself entirely to the more extreme death metal sound and enraptures the listener with blast beats attacks, a hard guitar sound and a lot of groove to an aggressive mixture, which is influenced by the forerunners of Florida death metal scene. Friends of truely Death Metal attacks should definitely risk to listen! "Apocalyptic Retribution" was recorded in the summer of 2020 at Soundlodge Studio (Dew Scented, God Dethroned, Sinistsser a.o.) and mixed and mastered by mastermind Jörg Uken. Since the band does not have a permanent drummer at the moment, none other than Michiel van der Plicht (Pestilence, ex-God Dethroned) could be recruited for this task. Swedish Death Metal... Desultory were path of he first wave of swedish Deah Metal next to Entombed and Dismember. Their debut "Into Eternity" originally released 1993 is still a standart in the Death Metal scene and must have for every collecti0n of pure swedish styled Death Metal. Also the follow-up "Bitterness" is in the same vein. As the band got no breakthrough they changed their style more modern and drifted into nothing. Still back in mind for all real Death Metal maniacs and a need for a re-release are the first two records which you should put in your collection between "Left Hand Path" and "Like An Everglowing Stream".
