Born from the idea of mastermind Kristian Leš, who started writing the first songs back in 2018, Aoryst released their debut album in May 2024, creating a unique and captivating piece of music based on fast thrash metal with a small dose of death and classic metal.
The album was recorded and produced by Jörg Uken at Soundlodge Recordings, who also played the drums. In the meantime, the line-up has been completed by Dominik Schlüter (e.g. Mourning Caress) in order to be able to travel through time and space as a live band in the future.
"Relics Of Time" is definitely a surprise in the thrash metal sector, which has been very busy recently. You can definitely hear in the technically adept 8 songs with harsh vocals that we're dealing with musicians who haven't just been on the road since yesterday and who know exactly what they can do and what they want!

Founded in Freiburg in 2018, the trio now released their second longplayer, "Toxic Society", which, as with their predecessors, should appeal to fans of old school thrash with a punk/hardcore attitude. In the fall of 2019, the guys spent four weeks on tour in Europe supporting The Exploited before their further development was abruptly interrupted by the coronavirus pandemic, as is the case with many bands.
At the end of 2022, the follow-up to their 2021 debut was recorded at Iguana Studios under the direction of Christoph Brandes (e.g. Craving, The Spirit, Pessimist) and see the light of day in early 2024. The 10 songs are in the tradition of hardcore punk-influenced thrash metal, with the genretypically themes like social issues and the decline of society.

"Headshot ... Makes Us Survive" - is the refrain of the opener "Day Of The Dead" of the 1996 debut of the Brunswick thrash metal institution HEADSHOT, who will celebrate their 30th anniversary in 2023! On the occasion of this event selected songs of the debut "Brain At Risk" (1995) and the follow-up album "Emotional Overload" (1998) completely re-recorded and recorded on CD for the first time with frontwoman Daniela Karrer, who as you know joined the band only in 2008.
Headshot have been a bank for years when it comes to hefty, aggressive, SF Bay Area-inspired thrash metal from Germany, and last year they made an impressive comeback with their sixth longplayer "Eyes Of The Guardian"! The first two albums are now completely out of print, but a simple re-release was too mundane for the band to the anniversary, especially since the production of that time is probably no longer up to date. Therefore the quintet decided to completely re-record some of their classics from the early days.
Like the last album, the old/new songs were produced at PureSonic Studio Langelsheim by Jost Schlüter, who not only breathed new life into the old songs, but also gave them a contemporary, anniversary-worthy sound garment. Rude Thrash Metal Neckbreaker!
Die bereits 1993 gegründeten (seit 2008 mit Daniela Karrer female fronted) Braunschweiger Headshot sind seit Jahren eine Bank wenn es um deftigen, aggressiven, SF Bay Area inspirierten, Thrash Metal aus deutschen Landen geht. Auch wenn das letzte Studioalbum schon einige Jahre zurück liegt, war das Quintett nie von der Bildfläche verschwunden, sondern berackerte unermüdlich deutsche und internationale Bühnen.
Anno 2022 meldet sich die Band mit „Eyes of the Guardians“ endlich auch an der Tonträgerfront zurück und stellt unter Beweis, dass man noch lange nicht zum alten Eisen gehört und in Sachen Brutalität und Härte nichts verlernt hat. Im Gegenteil: Die vorliegenden 10 Songs sind geradezu eine Lehrstunde in Sachen nackenbrecherischen Thrash, wobei es der Band gelingt, ohne mit ihrem Stil zu brechen, darauf durchaus auch neue Töne anzuschlagen und das Album so zum zweifellosen Höhepunkt ihres bisherigen Schaffens zu machen. Gerade Frontfrau Daniela Karrer überrascht, neben ihren brutalen Shouts und vereinzelten Grunts, mit ungewohnten melodische Passagen. Und so mancher Schrei aus ihrem Munde dürfte Rob Halford wehmütig an alte Zeiten denken lassen.Aufgenommen und produziert haben die Niedersachsen die Scheibe zwischen Juli 2019 und Februar 2022 im PureSonic Studio, Langelsheim unter den Fittichen von Jost Schlüter (u.a. Bereits auf ihren ersten drei Alben zelebrierte die Band um Arkadius Antonik (Suidakra) und Sascha Aßbach einen galanten Ritt durch die verschiedenen Facetten des brachialen, modernen Metals. In den letzten Jahren wurde es dann etwas ruhiger um FALL OF CARTHAGE, doch anno 2022 bringen die Groove Metaller ihr hier vorliegendes viertes Album an den Start und haben somit dem Phoenix neues Leben eingehaucht! „Drawn Into Madness“ bietet 34 Minuten schonungsloses, straightes Geballer. Blastbeats, eingängige Riffs und groovige Rhythmen, die kaum Zeit geben seinen Nacken zu entspannen, wobei die Band sich auch im Jahr 2022 erfolgreich davor drückt in einer allzu beengenden Genrekiste zu landen. Dafür sind die Songstrukturen in Kombination mit den facettenreichen Vocals Aßbachs, zu vielfältig und entfalten eine mitreißende Dynamik.
Dazu trägt auch der kompromisslose brachiale Gesamtsound bei, für den sich Arkadius diesmal selbst verantwortlich zeichnet und welcher auch einem schwedischen Old School Death Metal Album gut zu Gesicht stehen würde. Die Mischung aus intensiven Arrangements und der knochentrockenen Produktion verleiht dem Album einen ganz eigenen Charme. Fall Of Carthage sind musikalisch erwachsener geworden, ohne dabei ihre musikalischen Freiheiten aufgeben zu müssen und liefern mit „Drawn Into Madness“ ihr wohl stärkstes Werk.

Stagewar, founded in 2003 in the Frankfurt area, live up to their name and have developed into a tireless live band over the last few years, playing a good 200 shows to date, with more to follow after the release of their third longplayer "Danger To Ourselves". The band themselves describe their style as "straight thrash metal with a good portion of rock'n'roll", which basically hits the nail on the head!
The present 8 tracks captivate with catchy and multilayered arrangements. The whole thing was mixed and mastered at Pitchback Studios by Aljoscha Sieg (Suidakra, Eskimo Callboy, among others), which promises a brilliant production. The album's artwork is by tattoo artist James Reuter (Remember Tomorrow Tattoos) and enhances not only the digipak but also the vinyl edition in a fold-out gatefold.

Ten years after their first demo, the Greeks of Exarsis are preparing to release their fifth full-length album, once again rising the flag of old school thrash metal.
After a change in the line-up on the drums and the return of founding member and guitarist Chris Tsitsis (Suicide Angels a.o.), "Sentenced To Life" is probably the most melodic album of their discography to date, which nevertheless contains the typical Exarsis feeling, also because they keep pushing the accelerator pedal pretty hard.
As a surprise there are guest appearances of Pyros Lafias (Chronosphere) and Lefteris Xatzhandreou (Bio-Cancer) in the song "...Against My Fears", which is about overcoming depression and the fight against the inner demons.
Like the two previous releases, the album was produced by Mike Karpathiou in D-Studio. The artwork is by Dan Goldsworthy (Accept, Xentrix, Gloryhammer).

Old-School Thrash Metal -, straight, aggressive and without compromise. If you don't feel directly transported back to the 80s here, you never loved thrash! Without any experiments the trio also goes to the point on their second album. The germans from Grand Massive have been on the road since 2009 and have been able to gain a steadily growing following with 4 albums and several singles and EPs, as well as retaining it with massive live performances. With "Houses Of The Unholy", the bavarians are now releasing 5 songs that, with a playing time of just under 28 minutes, are not far removed from the longplayers of many other colleagues, but are not a "normal" release for the band itself.
Rather, it is intended to bridge the waiting time for the next, "really long" album. For example, original drummer Holger Stich was on drums for the recordings and Randy M Salo, an old companion of the band, was on bass.
